Basically they are a conversation between two people one of whom replies with random things, supposedly representing other search engines. Incase you haven&#8217;t seen them, here&#8217;s one:<\/p>\n<p>[youtube=http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=H0f8X_SOVjA]<\/p>\n<p>Anywho, I was on my work computer listening to my Alanis Morissette station on Pandora. When up pops an acoustic version of &#8220;Ironic&#8221;. And I&#8217;m singing along belting my heart out and I hear &#8220;and then meeting his beautiful husband&#8221;. Now, I&#8217;m not completely sure, since I was saying &#8220;wife&#8221; at the time. Since you can&#8217;t skip via Pandora, I decided to investigate via search. I reluctantly open a new tab in the IE browser and use the search widget in the top right, where Microsoft has conveniently placed their Bing search engine. I typed [including quotes]: &#8220;its like meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful husband&#8221;. I am returned with nothing, nada, except suggestions including: &#8220;OH La La Pains&#8221; and &#8220;Pregnant <strong>Man<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/kmtom.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/07\/bing1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-147\" title=\"bing\" src=\"http:\/\/kmtom.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/07\/bing1.png\" alt=\"bing\" width=\"392\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ktomdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/bing1.png 613w, http:\/\/ktomdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/bing1-300x224.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, frustrated, I now type in &#8220;google.com&#8221; and then copy and paste from the top right widget. And lo and behold I am returned with the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ironic_(song)#Alternate_versions\" target=\"_blank\">Wikipedia<\/a> page explaining that the lyrics to the song were first performed in 2004 at the GLAAD Media Awards (hear the song on <a href=\"http:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/18v45bO9woyaa2EbNT0BZI\" target=\"_blank\">Spotify<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kmtom.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/07\/google.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-148\" title=\"google\" src=\"http:\/\/kmtom.files.wordpress.com\/2009\/07\/google.png\" alt=\"google\" width=\"398\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ktomdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/google.png 712w, http:\/\/ktomdesign.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/07\/google-300x237.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The moral of the story is that Bing is no better than the search engines they mock. Isn&#8217;t it ironic?
